    I cant get fire through coil?

    I have an 85 mercrusier 170 that ran great stopped for a swin an would not fire back up. I have good voltage to the coil but will not pass through to dist. I have om'ed both old and new coils(10.65-11.93) any ideas where to go next?

    Low voltage to coil ( no fire)

    I have an 84 mercrusier 170...ran great after new points, plugs,wires, condenser. Stopped for a swim and would not start back up. I have fuel, oxygen, but very little fire to coil.......so i replaced points, coil, checked all the basics.....any ideas which way now? Thanks jeff
