How can I pinpoint where the pressure is not being held, drive will fall completely to the ground in about 5-10 mins.
I ordered 2 cylinder rebuild kits but now I'm wondering if those are even needed, could the leak be happening in the pump? Where do they commonly leak?
So found the issue it's been having all along. The anti siphon valve was clogged up with white deposits. Cleaned it out and now the boat runs great. Only issue I'm having is the temp climbing up to 195ish on idle. If I rev it up it drops back down.
Oil looks good. Took it out for another run, it started sputtering and we got stranded in the middle of the lake. Not fun had to get towed back. I'm wondering if there's water in my tank or something
So took it out today after putting marvel mystery oil in the fuel and oil. I didn't give it much throttle but cruising at 20mph at 3200ish rpm was perfect no hiccups.
Yea new impeller, lots of water flow out of the exhaust. Maybe dirty injectors. Maybe I'll run a fuel injector cleaner through it. It doesn't like full throttle at all. Backfires and sometimes will idle down and die.
I also cleaned the throttle body when I had it off, it was pretty black.
It's still misfiring or something. Tried unplugging the ESA still an issue though. Water temps at idle were climbing to 200, if I revved it up it would come back down. Oil pressure sitting around 30 at idle. 600rpm
Would removing the impeller and putting a hose in the hole where it pulls water be enough pressure to run it to make sure there's no clogs? Or do I need to run the housing with impeller
