My Yachtwin starts fine, but when shift is switched forward, there is an increase in rpm and a delay of up to 15 seconds before the power engages.<br /><br />Any ideas what the problem might be?
I use this extended shaft outboard to move my sailboar when there's no wind. Every time I start her up in neutral, I release the choke and reduce the idle, then engage the shift. (Only forward on this model). There is a increase in RPM but no shift into drive for about 4-6 seconds. Runs fine...
