I have a 1976 15 hp Sears outboard model# 217/58631-1 that is will run rough and then will backfire through the carb. If i work the choke I can keep it running when it does this. I am wondering if this is due to a lean fuel situation or if it may have something to do with the ignition... anyone...
I have a 1976 15 hp Sears outboard model# 217/58631-1 on which I am rebuilding the lower unit. There is a plastic retainer on the drive shaft under the water pump that I am trying to get off in order to replace the oil seal. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove it without damaging...
