    Logic boats...opinions

    It's me, the guy with the '84 90hp IL6 merc with the ignition problem. After buying a new stator I am still not getting voltage out of the blue leads, thus producing no spark. So far I have replaced the ignition switch,rectifier, stator, and battery. <br /><br />The ohms test on the new stator...

    90 merc ignition woes

    I have a '84 90 hp mercury that fails to produce any spark no matter what I try.<br /><br />I ohm tested the staor and it failed so I replaced the stator and still not getting the proper voltage at cranking speed. blue leads are getting 5.6 volts at cranking speed and they should be 200+ volts...

    Stator on a '89 merrc 90hp
