Rebuilt 1973 Evinrude Triumph 65 horse 3 cylinder outboard motor and my dad had a part left over he thinks might be part of the motor, but not sure. If anyone knows what this is and where it goes, please help!

Rebuilt '73 Evinrude 3 cylinder 65 hp new block, pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets. Boat ran fine for 3 or 4 trips of less than an hour. Next trip out while WOT motor dropped a cylinder. Pulled spark plug and fired it up, massive amount of water shoots out.
