Have had nothing but ignition problems with this 1995 60 Merc 3cyl, 2stroke.Replaced coils with one shop saying stator,trigger and switch box OK.Ran 2 hours started misfiring by the time back to ramp 1 cyl. 2nd Merc mechanic said both stator and switch box were no good( low voltage from 2 coils...
Have 1995 3 cyl Merc, was low on power found no spark at top plug.Local parts dealer suggested swapping coil from middle plug.Then I lost that coil ,only spark at bottom plug .Is this a bad switch box??? Appreciate any help.
Just tried to swap my middle coil for my top coil,top plug was not firing.Was real carefull in reconnection and whooa,lost the other coil! Is this an indication of a bad switch box?? Local parts outlet suggested I swap coils, now I remember that if the problems upstream they can frie your coil...
