    the serial number is c8008719 and the model # 10R78M would this be a 2 stroke or 4 stroke engine and what year!?? excuse my ignorance! I need a new fuel pump and carb kit so need to know the year to calculate what kits to buy and pump

    fuel pump relacement help on johnson 9.9

    I have a 9.9 hp johnson outbaord, just bought second hand...runs when pumping gas primer, else it cuts out..am I best get new fuel pump or just the kit? Is replacing the pump easy..or the kit easy? I am fairly mechanically inclined, having worked on my old volvo car engine often enough! Any tips...
