Please watch the video . The generator engine runs like a kitty and is rpm stable all the time . The frequency normslly cannot be true . ~ 50hz at load and wildly swinging up to 400hz at no load .

Maybe some here have an idea what it could be .
My ( 240v 50hz ) genny has 265volts and a wild frequency with no load but returns to ~ normal values when a load is put on it . Voltage is controlled here by a capacitor , no avr . I replaced the capacitor with a new 25uf one...

My paguro 4000 genset with the faryman 18w smokes white . It gets worse when fully warmed up but keeps to be "light" white smoke , so no thick clouds of it . It looks like steam .

Good you tested it and confirmed the problem with the injector . Depending on how long you have operated the engine in this condition make also an oil change since you might have diesel in the oil . Check if oil level rised .
Its not firing on all cylinders at idle , you can hear it clearly .
Since you can reach normal rpm,s at wot, the engine starts to fire again on all cylinders at higher rpm,s .
One injector is faulty at idle but kicks in at higher rpm,s .
I solved the mystery ( at least partly ) .
Mercruiser was not a great help , they told me that with non us made engines i need to contact mercuiser in europe - what i did . Mercruiser germany was not helpful at all , they promised to call me back and i,m still waiting .

The serial numbers i posted are correct for sure , verified on the engines and boat papers - and we are talking definitely diesels , not petrols .
Its the engines you mentioned in the link , correct .
If 0"L" generally refers to 98-01 , it would ~match with...

since the end of last season i experience low waterpressures on my smartcraft gauge but zero other issues . 2006 240 sundancer , 5.0 MPI B3
no overheating at idle or WOT , no alarms .
the pressure is as low as 0.5-0.7 psi at idle and below 3...
we live inlands with speed limited channels . we troll all days long at 1500 rpm often . ( 5.0 mpi b3 )
i heard its hard on the splines and the coupler but why ?
revs are low , the force is low comparing to being on glide . is there a technical explanation for this ?
