Thanks Bruce, I was able to see it with a mini inspection camera and surprisingly was able to fish it out using a small grabber tool. I will put a new one on for sure.
Ok verified that hose goes to the transom. Flushed water through all the lines to make sure clean water was coming out. Then I noticed when I pulled the water pump off I think I dropped the vent tube down the hole. Does anyone know where that goes? And if it’s going to interfere with anything...
I'll have to verify if it goes back to the transom mount, but yes connects to the power steering cooler. Will have to double check when I leave the office and get back home.

Well I got it all back together over the weekend thank you all for your help and advice. Ended up burning up my water pump housing, don't think I had enough water pressure going through my muffs. Didn't get it to prime also forgot to grease the impeller too - so ordered new stuff - my bad...
Great call. I’ll order parts once I have it apart. I did order new impeller kit too. So nice it’s on the back of the drive vs having to drop the leg to do it.
