What does a 4 beep self test on KEY ON mean? I do not have the manual for my 1995 175 Merc and am trying to track down why my self test has changed (when I changed warning module) recently

The 4 beeps lets you know that the warning module is functioning.

Thank you Andy! Now I have to find out what is causing my rapid beep-beep-beeps, immediately after cranking and starting.

rapid beep-beep-bepp is a low oil or now oil warning. Run a 50:1 premix until it gets sorted out

Re: 4 beep self test Key ON

I have tested out the cap (ohmed out good when i slid float up and down);
I have performed an oil output test with good results;
I have partially ran the oil motion sensor test, with variance in voltage... I am completely stumped! I even changed the warning module.

The boat has been sitting for 3 months and was perfect before this. I will try moving the green lead to another switch box bank to see if I have a flaky switch box.

Unplug the wires to the bottom of the oil tank and see if the beep stops.
