I have just put a 115hp 1979 merc on my 24' pontoon. The motor came from a bass boat. the Stainless Steel prop on the motor has '48-72500-21' stamped on the end of the hub. And has "48 72500A4 21P" on the side of the hub. Can anyone help me to determine what this prop is. I plan to sell it and get another prop for my pontoon. at WOT i only get about 3600RPMS with this prop. I guess this is a 21 pitch but I am not sure of the Diameter. I think it is 13" or 13 1/4". Also as the prop is in good condition. Any suggestion on what I could get for it?? Lastly any suggestions on what size I should get?

Thanks
Patrick

Re: help ID-ing a prop

Ok,Welcome.
I did a search and could not find the the 48-72500-21.I did find the 48-73500 and that is an OEM 16x11.
What you need for your rig is a OEM 48-77340A40, the equivalent Michigan is #031055. These are made for 115 engines and are 14x13.This prop is for boats of 22 feet and up.
Good luck.
