I just noticed I was leaking a bit of lower unit fluid out of the small hole on top of the lower unit. I pulled the unit and noticed the leak was coming from around the shift shaft. I see in my manual that it has a gasket and seals but it doesn't tell me how to replace them. Can anyone help me with this one? Do I need a special tool to pull the bushing off the shaft. A little stumped, any help would be apreciated.
Thank you
CU

Yes...there is a special tool to remove the carrier.

Part# 23-77631a 2

You can either replace the seals or the carrier complete with new seals.

We currently stock.

marine.ron@shaw.ca

TMD

I'm not sure if I can ask this question, but where can I purchase marine tools? I'm also looking for a spanner to remove the top of the trim cylinder, so I can replace the seals in there also.
Thank you
CU
