No Fire to cylinders 1,3,5. 1993 Merc 135hp

Have 1993 Mercury 135 Black Max. Runs great for a short time, then Cylinders 1,3,5 lose spark completely. Engine continues to run on 2,4,& 6. Any ideas?

Howdy, Outboard.<br /><br />I'm no Merc-spert, but if they are set up like most OMC V6s you have an intermittent powerpack failure.<br /><br />Good luck.

is a stator or a swich box failure...swap the boxes around and see what happens....probably will still kill 1.3.5...in which case is a stator prob....
