Greetings,

Just had my transom repaired on a 68 Larson, which encompassed taking the motor off. The transom is fine (in fact better than original), but now my fuel bulb will not pump any pressure up. (and yes i have quadruple checked the fuel lines to make sure they're all intact).

This merc has a metal fitting at the end of the fuel line that presses and turns about a half turn in to the motor (it has a check ball inside of it). I have taken it off just to see what kind of stream of fuel I have coming out, it is more like a mist coming while pumping the bulb.

Does anyone know if I am supposed to have a solid stream of fuel when pumping the bulb? Or is it just a mist? Is there any kind of test I can do to check this problem out?

thanks

Your bulb is pumping air rather than fuel. Check for air leaks in hose and connections.

Good luck. :)
