Old gas, gunked up fuel system, low idle speed, improper idle mixture adjustment, general tune-up needed, an on we go. What's been done to try to fix the problem? Did it just start this or has it always been that way?
Started running rough last year -primer cylinoid was replaced and the black wheel(throttle linkage?)was adjusted not sure where that should be set, didn't help problem. If it is fuel gunk how do we correct the problem?
logical 1st step: replace fuel filter if applicable to your system. On most engines if you have restricted fuel flow through filter it will dies out. filter lets some fuel come through (enough to run and rev up) then starves the engine for fuel with restricted flow when you place a larger demand on the system.
