Needing year of my 25HP Seahorse engine

I have a 25HP Johnson Seahrse. on the data plate these are the only numbers 1002E-E02957. These numbers are on the tag located on the mount housing against the transom. I could find no other numbers anywhere. Thank you for your help

Hi ronrodes are your suure this is a johnson ? 18002 is a 1970 evenrude 18hp check your numbers again

A 25hp Johnson cover will fit an Evinrude 18hp engine. What colour is the engine itself, and does the serial number on the transom match the serial number on the engine block?
