Will a hydro-electric lower unit from a '72 65 hp Johnson work on my '71 Johnson 50 hp hydro-electric shift?

Thanks for the info. Does anyone know where I might find a lower unit for a '71 50 hp hydro-electric shift motor? I'd like to buy one for the right price.

Roni.....check the iboats classifieds at the top of the page. You can also post a want ad also. These lower units also show up on Ebay from time to time. Should caution you here that soliciting to buy or sell is not permitted on the forums.

Sorry, I screwed up. I'm trying to find out what lower units will fit on this motor('71 50hp Johnson/Evinrude) is there only one, or will a variety of years and HP's work. Any info would be great.<br />armascher@yahoo.com<br />Thanks
