That's for fogging your motor with fogging oil for winter storage. Some fogging oil cans come with a hose and fitting that will screw on to that nipple. The nipple has a Schrader valve in it just like a valve stem on a tire.

The red lever is for the fuel enrichment solonoid. Your engine does not have a choke. The solonoid injects fuel into the intake.

The red lever should be folded back, parallel to the solonoid body, for nmormal running.

Turn it the other way for manual (emergency) starting.

Thanks.
Can this nipple have anything to do with my wot problem (the engin seams not to get enough gas on wot, works and run perfect up to 4500 rpm but start to stutter when it hit 4800 rpm)
Should the red levler point down or side?

Thanks

No, the nipple should not have anything to do with your problem. Could be the fuel filter or pick-up in the fuel tank is partially clogged. Did this just start or has this been an ongoing problem? Here's a picture of how the red lever should be when in the normal running position:

Re: Air nipple on the gas pump?

Thanks
The problem started when the boat was in the water for the first time this year.
It run perfect when i took it up for the winter and i also winter fog the engin.
I have clean the fuel filter on the engin.
Last year i did get the fuel starw alarm when i put it on WOT (but the engin did run perfect) That time it was some clogg in the fuel filter, did clean it and the engin run perfect.
So i know that the alarm should work, but now when the engin start to stutter i dont get the alarm.
Do you know where the sensor for the fuel consum is located, i mean the starwing must start somewhere after the sensor or?

Yes.That's the normal run position. You can help rule out what your performance problem is by trying a couple of things .When engine will not respond ,try pumping the primer bulb on the fuel line and see if it picks up.If so ,you may have a fuel pump going out.If not try repeatedly pushing in on the primer button of the key switch and see if she responds. If so,you may have carburetor restrictions.First rule out any detectable fuel leaks from tank to carburetors.

Thanks again.
I have tryed to pump the bulb but that does not help i also have tryed to hold the primer button at the key down without any change.
If it is some clogg in the fuel hose or tank shouldnt the fuel restrict alarm go of then?

Re: Air nipple on the gas pump?

You'd think so.Hopefully the fuel tank is venting properly and the primer bulb is not defective.

Next insure that the carb throttle flaps are opening fully horizontal and the timer base has full unrestricted travel all the way to its stop..If all of this checks out and you can get no response with the above tests,I'd start by inspecting the sparkplugs conditions and see if some are more dry or wet than others.A spark test would be next.

Re: Air nipple on the gas pump?

Really thank to your quick reply.

Did check the plug right after it start to stutter.
Did turn the key off when it start stutter and did check the plugs.
They all did look the same (dry, guess they would be that right after 4800 rpm :) )
Strange, maybe there is something with some clogg in hose or water sep filter... Do you know where the sensor for fuel restrict alarm is located?
Maybe its something wrong with it (but i get the ok bip from the alarm check when i turn the key)

Many than's again

Re: Air nipple on the gas pump?

It's within the vro pump assy.Insure that the crankcase pulse hose is intact and not leaking. This is what pressure pulse drives the air motor of the VRO pump. Can you detect any leakage of fuel at all around the electric primer solenoid?I have heard of the red lever seal causing problems ,but I'd think if you primed solid with the bulb that leakage would be detectable if the seal was an issue.

The two wire fixture at the bottom of the picture I believe is the fuel line vacuum switch for the fuel restriction alarm.

OK
And that one is sitting a little bit untight maybe thats why the alarm does not go of?
Guess i got to check all the hose from the tank to the filter.
