i would like to know if it is safe to run a johnson 115 ocean runner on pre mix thanks for any info

It certainly is if you are going to disconnect the VRO. 50:1 mixture...

Be certain to mix at 50:1 and you won't have any problems what so ever. If you had asked if it was better to pre mix or use the VRO, you would have opened up the second biggest can of worms on the forum and had at least 10 gazillion replys.<br />Stalker

thanks 4 the info i did away with the vro ive been mixing chain saw mix for 16 years and never forgot to mix the right mix never had a problem with my chainsaws regaurding the mix thanks 4 reply

moonrainbow,<br /><br />I fully trust the OMC oil injection systems as long as a I know the warning horn works. By the way, I've never had an "oil alarm".<br /><br />Yes. you can run it on 50:1. Why bother. Service the oil system and utilize its benefits.<br /><br />By the way, I hope you don't dump "chainsaw oil" in this thing. That will ruin it pretty quick.<br /><br />Use ONLY TCW-3 rated oil.

i dont think i was going to dump chiasaw oil in boat im not that dumb i just dont like relying on a little oil pump it s one more thing that can go wrong i would never forget to mix the 50 to 1 mix than i dont have to worry

by the way stihl chainsaws use 50 to 1 mix its just different oil thanks 4 replies
