i have a 87,evinrude 30 hp , i drained the gas tank prime bulb, drained carb replaced with new gas and oil, wont start ! i had oil mixture wrong is why i drained these put new plugs in it ,
did you check for spark? Did you check to see if new plugs are wet after several starting attempts?<br /><br />You have to determine if its a fuel or ignition issue.....
When you drained the bulb did you get it back together right.Have you got the connectors plugged on the right way around?it is possible<br />to reverse them and end up with the latch pin<br />in the fuel side.
yes mike, on that 87- evinrude, 30 hp i had wrong oil in the tank , i did run it a little bit , fouled the plugs, so i changed the plugs added new gas and oil , ran good , got to the lake would not keep running, then then wouldnt start , now no fire to the plugs . plz help thank you. jerry
