new house has an electric stove. So far, my pizza and my biscuits are turning out waaaay better.


chocolate chip cookies and brownies are next up.

I see that stuff growing in the woods here and there. I don’t have the stones to try eating it. With my luck it would be poisonous.

I was wrong I have the orange so it is chicken of the woods vs hen of the woods. I marinated them then smoked them then seared at the end. It had the texture of a chicken nugget it was good.

new town has a grocery outlet that has chops with actual fat in and on. Had some good ones off the grill last few months. Cheap to, like under $3/lb

hopefully we are awakening from 'the other white meat' propaganda era.

when i find a chuck roast with a section that is marbled like this i cut it out and make as many steaks as i can usually 2-4 (we do small portions). Usually 6-8.99/lb. still get the rest of it for slow cook stuff.


medium rare is perfectly chewy in the perfectly chewy kinda way.
