I received my Smart Tabs today. When looking at the back of the boat - there isn't a defined chine.
The boat is a Sailfish 176. The beam is about 6'6". How from the outside edge do I mount the smart tab?

I'm sure Nautijohn will be along soon. He will help with all your questions.

BGBIRD,I would think you would want them as close to the outside as possible.But like DJ says you won't have to wait long for Nautijohn to find you, and he's the expert.

Re: Smart Tabs - Where to start?

bgbird;

Your it i'm going home as soon as I finish this post. Your best bet is to call me to discuss this. 800-233-0194

The further out you can mount the tabs the better control you will have over the side to side motion. However, since you have nothing now, any addition even closer to the center will add stability. Don't worry about trying to fit them in between the strakes (ribs) in the bottom of the hull. Pick a general line and use this as reference. Call me!
