WoG's nephew :noidea: :D

car was a "heavily modified 2011 Mustang" . . . the Shelby GT500 is a 200 mph car . . . so sounds like it was all of that and a bit more.

I may or may not have ever been triple digits on a public road way, however with that many pot holes, dips, etc that our roads have, surprised he didnt wreck.

either way, that kid wont have his license for a while

Wow - It took the RCMP to finally corral the guy. LOL

A Canadian Deputy sitting in a parking lot spotted the car and was able to intecept it.

Well, that kid will have one heck of a story to tell if he makes it to 65. Most of us have one...

I guess we all made some type "STUPID" mistake in our lives. Back when I was young and stupid, (I'm still stupid, but not as young now), I was challenged to a race by my brother. He had a late 60's early 70's Road Runner with a 383. I had a modified 72 Dodge Challenger 340, and he wanted to race. So out we go to the interstate and the race was on. He started off before even waiting for me to get setup. So I floored it and when I shifted into second gear, I was bypassing him, But NO, I didn't top there, I waited until I was at 131 MPH and something triggered in my head saying; "What are you going to do IF a dog or deer or anything ran out in front of you"? I immediately slowed down and that was the first and last time I ever raced again. I literally scared myself. He conceded I won and couldn't believe how fast I flew by him and keep accelerating.

Gee, I thought 125 was fast when I had a '72 LeMans with a loose frontend on a rough road......

208MPH? Nuts!

back in the day i had a 1970 Olds W31. i was going through town and a kid (about my age ~early 20's) in a new Trans Am (about a 1987) with his girlfriend kept gassing it and flying up on my rear bumper then backing off and doing it again. we finally got to where it opens into 4 lanes and i slow to wait for him to pull up beside me. we both take off and i pull away so i let off and he catches and passes me. so i pass him again then let off. he passes me again and i decide to play his game so i ride his bumper at about 110MPH. he had those louvers on his rear window and they are flapping away so i decide to back off. just then they went flying. i stabbed the brakes and decided it would be better to run them over than to crash trying to miss them so i do just that. we get to the light up the road and he is in the left lane to do a u-turn. i looked over and grinned thinking 'there isn't much left to go back for'...lol

I do stupid things every day. You all will have to wait 7 yrs for the statute to be up before I can discuss my latest dumb move ;)

I've banked 120 in an ole' Doge Diplomat back in the late 80s. That car got a little "floaty" up that high, so I logged the experience and backed off. Haven't felt the need to go that fast again since really. I've also done about 70MPH in a super V race car ... which felt easily as fast at the Dodge did at 120 (though MUCH tighter).

Can't really imagine tagging 200MPH ...

I have seen very low triple-digit speeds on four wheels but been up to mid-150's on two wheels. Funny how at that speed you stop looking an 1/8th mile in front of you and only worry about what is out a 1/2 mile and beyond in front of you because at that speed anything less than half a mile away you won't have time to react even if you see it.

Reminds me of riding a sportbike around and whenever I got ready to launch I would change my vision reference and scan out the next 1/2 mile ahead because in a second or two a 1/2 mile away is where I would be.

And that is because with age comes common sense. When we were young and totally stupid, we also thought (wrongly of course) that we were invincible.

Oddly enough, the only time I see triple digits anymore is on my snowmobile. That's maybe once a year..... Quite the adrenaline rush......
