All we Cubbies fans can do is Watch, hope and pray. But what a game last night. I'll admit I thought they were done and turned off the TV in the middle of the 8th. The checked the score on the internet. Top of the 9th, 2 on nobody out, turned the TV back on.
Ye of little faith! Actually, I almost bailed, too, after staying up WAY to late the night before...
Not to derail the topic, but I'm more excited about the Blackhawks home opener tonight against the Blues! NHL is back!

Go Dodgers!
I honestly think the Cubs have an advantage but it comes down to who is hot at the moment, especially pitching. The way they have so many games off it helps the team that only has a few good starters so who knows. It definitely helped a team like the Giants a few years ago which allowed Bumgarner to pitch more games than he would have if the games were played closer together. So if it comes down to the Dodgers and the Cubs who do you think has the advantage? If they play all night games it's going to get mighty cold in Wrigley after dark..
Cubbies have destiny written all over them ... Time will tell ... They still have to play the games (and win).
Last 100+ win team to win World Series was 1998 Yankees. So...basically, if you win 100+ games you are screwed!Cubbies have destiny written all over them ... Time will tell ... They still have to play the games (and win).

I know...just wanted to throw that in!But it has been done. More than once. Either way it's great to see some teams in it that are normally never or rarely seen in the playoffs.
