Trying to take a part a alapha one lower unit to replace the water pump. Any suggestions on how to remove the bolt that holds the trim tab on? Is it an allen? Thanks for the help in advance.
i would use a service manual and can give you a link but dont no if you have a GEN I or GEN II drive<br /><br /><br />if its together a long time heat tends to be nessary<br /><br />tommays
Just a heads up, I had to separate mine last weekend, the 5/16" allen under the trim tab was a booger to get loose. Ended up have to put the impact on it to bust it loose. I was surprised how tight it was, thought I might find some corrosion or something, but it was clean as a whistle. I guess whoever put it together last was a little overzealous.
