Hey Guys

I will try to explain what I am looking for so hopefully you will understand, Because I am not really sure what you call these.I am looking to replace the rod holders that are on the side walls of the boat they are like inserts and hold three poles on each side. they are about 2'x 4'( I will take measurements if I find out where to buy these). I just compounded and waxed my boat --It looks great but these rod holders are filthy and old. My boat is a 22 foot WA seamaster by Renken- so I know I cant buy them from them because Renken is no longer.

If someone can give me the proper name for this Item that would help / If you know where to get them that would even be better

Thanks
Cool IT-- Russell

Re: Rod Holders

Howdy, Cool It.

Go to the Marine Mega Mall (top of the page) and do a search for rod holders.

If you don't find what you are looking for there it doesn't exist. :)

Re: Rod Holders

I'm thinking you're looking at the under gunnel rod racks. Maybe something like at the link below is what you want? Good luck.

Under Gunnel Rod Rack

Re: Rod Holders

Thanks pchonda but that is still not it -- I wish I can explain what Im looking for better but I cant seem to get the description that accurate It is probably something simple if you saw what it looks like.

I will try to explain again-- these are the Rod Racks that are in the Gunnel area ( if thats what its called) on each side of the boat --they are like one piece platic rod racks that screw in to sides. The holes for the pole tips acctually go in to the space between the walls of boat-- they are about 2'x4' I dont know how else to explain these -- Hope I dont sound CRAZY

Thanks
COOL IT -- Russell

Re: Rod Holders

I think Berkley made boat rod holders like this. Try searching "Berklet rod racks"

Cheers Greg

Re: Rod Holders

I know what you're talking about. They are a molded plastic insert that fits into cut-outs in the gunnels. I have a 2004 Sea Pro 220CC that has them and mine are very flimsy and have broken in spots from being kicked (accidentally, honest!). I haven't found and replacements yet. Good luck and let us know if you locate them and I'll do the same.

this is what you are talking about....there is a good chance you will not be able to find an exact fit....find some that are slightly bigger than your existing hole and cut it out to fit....

do a searc for rod boxes instead of holders.
