I need some help troubleshooting my force 120 outboard. I took it out on the water for the first time this year and It overheated 250 yards from dock. I let it cool down for ten or fifteen minutes and cleaned seaweed off of lower unit and tried to run again. It ran but overheated really fast. have since replaced the impeller and attempted starting it and i can;t get it to. I do have spark well at least on the cylinder i checked. Any ideas where i go from here plenty of gas going to carbs and a hell of a lot of spark' at least on the plug i did checkwhere should i go next.

Did you clean out thermo and all passage ways. Everyone will say comp test. Is landyard switch off?

You gotta do a compression test and check spark on all the cylinders. It's possible you blew a head gasket and it needs work.J
