If you go to yamaha's web site and type your engine info in they have a parts break down. I don't remember the exact link.

Have you tried looking at the exploded views on the Seloc site when you are looking for your parts?

I know with OMC....when you get a water pump kit ...they have a booklet in it to show how to replace the whole unit....go to a Yamaha dealer and ask for the kit and see if they have a booklet in it to show you how to replace it....

yours is a non US market motor.
cant help much.
I can tell you the US market T8 motors had/have a shift rod seal and when you remove the barrel nut you MUST remove the jam nut from the shift shaft or it pulls the shaft out of place requireing propshaft removal to fix.
best bet is the factory service mnual.

Re: I have a question on how to change a waterpump

Step 1: Drop the lower unit.
Step 2: The water pump housing is on top of the lower unit and the impeller is inside the housing. The impeller is driven by the drive shaft.
Step 3: Remove the housing and impeller.
Step 4: Replace the impeller and housing.
Step 5: Install the lower unit.

Those are the basics. If you need more detail than that you really need to buy a factory service manual for your engine. That suggestion applies to anyone who intends to work on their engine themselves. It is a time and money saver, and helps prevent needlessly repeating trial and error processes that can often result in damaging other stuff.

just remove the shift shaft jam nut or you may be posting about reinserting the shift shaft.
