Mercury Throttle Control Wiring Help

I have a '79 Ranger with a 175 mercury outboard and last year I was on the lake and I had a cluster of wires burn up that ran from the Throttle Control unit to the dash. I was woundering if anyone could help me by telling me what the wire colors are supose to be and were they went. Also if some one could help me with the Trim wiring.
