85 Johnson Prestolite tilt

Hey guys have 85 johnson with a prestolite tilt on it. Goes up and down fine but will leak down if let up. Goes from full up to down in about 2 to5 minutes. Looked for a seal kit but I cant seem to find one anybody have more info or where to get one???? Thanks

Suprised you couldn't find one. You must not have contacted a dealer. 393942 oring kit. For trim units older than 1990. The oring kit is also listed on the Bombardier website parts list.

I did contact a dealer and they said NLA and I looked up the OEM and cannot find. I have just a single tilt assembly not trim and tilt.

I did not notice that it was the tilt only model. Bombardier has a few dealers that still have stock on just a couple of the orings needed to rebuild the cylinder. Check with them and ask them to go onto their Dealerport Stock Prob website and check these parts: 122101, 172388. If you have other parts you need, ask them to check them on that same site. You may be able to still scrounge up the remaining other parts by contacting obsolete parts companies, like Sea-Way marine in Seattle, Wash. You may be able to accumlate enough parts individually to overhaul it.
