My boat has an OMC 5.7L Model# 57fcpbyc with throttle body injection. When accelerating from a stop, it will almost reach plane, but then one of the injectors cuts out and rpm's drop from around (2,500-2,800) down to around 2,000 rpm. If I back off of the throttle and get on it again, it will feel like it has good power until it gets back up to the 2,500-2,800 rpm range again and then the injector cuts out again. i switched the connectors for the two injectors and the other one cut out, so it must be electrical, not a clogged injector. Had to limp home a pretty good distance, fuel pump was getting hot and kept tripping the breaker, kept cooling it with ice while putting along.
I checked the fuel pressure and high side was around 30, low side would go up to around 8psi when key turned on but would then lose pressure. checked anti-siphon valve, seems to work fine, no restrictions prior to low pressure pump. is not sucking air either. low pressure side reading 0 while engine running.
replaced both fuel pumps. Injector still cutting out. high pressure still reading around 30 have not checked low pressure side since pump replacement. I just ordered a codemate code reader to check for codes.
any help would be greatly appreciated
