Near new boat won't turn over

I am posting for a friend who I ran into at the marina today.
His 1 year old 26 foot Sunbridge won't start. He had it out yesterday and it ran fine all day. Lots of starts and stops, no problem. Then at the end of the day they went to go pick up some friends and it wouldn't turn over.
There is power everywhere (even at the starter) and all the other systems appear to work just fine.
Motor will not crank at all, I can hear the fuel injectors prime and everything.
The motor is a 5.7l Volvo and I don't know any other specs. The controls have 2 levers, there does not appear to be a safety tether kill switch anywhere and he already tried to bypass the neutral safety switch.
Is there a breaker somewhere or a fuse?

Any clicks, clunks, bangs, or other noises when he tries the starter?

Thanks Don, that's a great thread. I'm printing it to keep in my boat tool box.

Unfortunately he's given up and it's being hauled to a shop...
Ouch, it cost him $550 for the tow in and it broke loose off the anchor last night and ended up on some rocks.
The boat was mint...
Well at least they are safe and sound and it happened fairly close in.

I have found when something electrical gets hot it sometimes does not make the best contact. I would check the voltage at the startert hen work my way back.

It's a moot point now, he doesn't have the boat to work on.
