I have a bass tracker pro 17 (1996) and over time it is starting to show some wear. The steering wheel has gotten covered in a type of mold or mildue. I have removed the wheel and tried cleaning it first in hot soapy water and that has removed some of it. There are still black spots over 90% of the wheel and i was wondering if any body had any suggestions on a cleaner they would endorse or recommend. thanks

Welcome to the iboats.com forum!!:):)
For the price, why not buy a new steering wheel?

Re: Cleaning Tips

Welcome to New Hampshire boating. We have 2 seasons, first there's winter, which is also known as save up, fix up, and get ready season. Then there's summer which is road construction, boating and mildew battling time.
Try a very mild solution of dilute water with a little bleach on a brush to break up that moldy crud.
I feel your pain. I live in Southern NH when I'm not at Moultonborough and I get green algae on my walk, deck, and garage. We live in a moldy place.
So once you get it nice, make sure to put it away dry.
BTW are you on big or little Squam?
