My rig has some cupholders in the storage areas on the sides but none up high by the helm I though it would be cool to add a couple.

I thought these looked functional:eek:

Looks like $50 of that price is the over priced suction cup. I think I'd rather just screw mount something like that anyways.

I had an old 86 taurus junker and I removed the hidden cupholders and installed them in my boat, some cars have some really cool ones.

I actually bought a set of the Sea Suckers at the boat show. A bit pricey - yes, but they work quite well. They are not "suction" but rather "vacuumn" and hold great. Much better than the suction types IMHO.

I find that suction cups don't really work all that well in boats, once they get some weather to the cups and/or age to the surface.
I also don't see a lot of value to the swivel aspect, for normal boating. It's not like you're pitching around on the high seas with a full tankard of grog.
(Those old-fashioned wire style swivel drink holders are now popular with the Harley owners!)
KISS and KIC (cheap).
You can spill a lot of beer for $80-take the chance!

Maybe they figure if you bought a boat that you are automatically stupid!!! $80.00!!! KMA!! That product probably costs less than $10.00 to produce.

FYI, sea ray sundancer's from the 80's have more places for your drinks to go than a table at the pub.
There must have been some serious drinkers on the sea ray desighn team in the 80's.
Mind ya not one smoker, they must have worked for cobalt as they have ashtrays with lighters (and few drink holders).

Hehe..that's why we bought the glastron, we looked at a lot of boats, some very expensive ones. The Glastron was the only one that had multiple cup holders (2) at each seating postion!

I bought a couple from Cabelas. I really like the RAM mounting systems. I've got them little RAM balls mounted everywhere. You can swap out your cell phone holder, GPS, depthfinder, ect.

For $80 each , I think I'd be more inclined to hire someone to hold my cup for me. They could also bring me fresh beverages when I ran dry.
Eighy bucks?!?! FEH.
