what year is this mariner 40 HP model 40E0, code 6E9-5, serial 150257?
Does that serial number have a letter in front of it such as a
G or a
D and is it a two-cylinder or a four-cylinder? If it's a two-cylinder with a
D, then it's a 1992; if its a
G, then its a 1995. If its a four-cylinder, then it can only have a
G and its a 1995. If it doesn't have one of those letters in front of the six numbers, then it is newer than 1996 because that's all the further the charts go that I use.
