I have this old Tach and dwell meter.
Since my 70 Chrysler 55hp is the only motor (including cars) is the only thing with points. Would this be something to keep? Or should I get rid of it?
Can this even be used on an outboard?

Re: Tach and Dwell meter.

If it has a switch that says 2 cycle and 4 cycle, it can be used to set up a two stroke engine. If it has a tach, it can be used to set your idle.

Re: Tach and Dwell meter.

Only switch on it is a 3 way slider.
"Tach:Dwell:point"

The meter has a read out the lists 6cyl and 8cyl. Then manual page I have says, "On 4 cylinder engines read the 8 cylinder scales, (tach or swell) and double the reading.
But nothing about 2 cycle.

It's an old Sears Roebuck meter.
If I can't use it on my outboard, then I'll put it in the garage sale tomorrow.

Put it in the garage sale as it won't work properly on a 2 stroke engine.
