1985 35 horse mercury

no cranking power ,tried 2 different batteries fully charged,changed solinoid and tried a spare solinoid, changed all conectors,tested the starter by hookin it up straight to the battery.motor turns over but is very slow.anyone got any pointers.:confused::confused:

I had the same problem. It ended up being the starter. A new one isn't cheap, but it solved all my problems.

I own the same motor. The same thing happen to me last year. Replaced starter and problem sloved! Oh and check the inline fuse in the red wire below the start solenoid jest in case.
