1972 evinrude 85hp points question

Hi I was wondering on this motor does the points supply the power to the power pack or is it vice versa. I have spark issue no spark or fuel in any cylinder did bulb test on amp seems to pass with dim light.

The power to the amplifier comes from the ignition switch. The breaker points just tells it when to discharge through the coil.

By bulb test, you mean at the coil wire? The points are working if so. That doesn't mean they are firing each and every time, or gapped correctly though.
