Hello, this is my first post here in this forum so I thank you ahead of time for your help. I have a 2005 Mercury 115 EFI 4 stroke (SER# 1B068672) outboard which I am trying to physically locate the fuel injection pump. I also am looking for the drain screw to drain the fuel out. My boat sat for 1.5 years after a move and a deployment and I did have stabil in the fuel during that time and the fuel went bad. I drained the old fuel, from the fuel line and tank and removed and inspected the filter in the fuel/water separator and am not getting fuel to the plugs. I'm thinking either gunk is the problem or bad fuel in the injector pump or maybe fuel injection pump bad? Is the fuel injection pump inside the vapor separator? I can't see it when looking at the fuel system. I'd like to drain the fuel out of the engine as well but can't find the drain screw? Thanks for your help.

The pump is in the vapor tank. Ther should be a drain on the vapor tank.Remove the drain plug and see what comes out.It should be a little water and then gas and oil mixyure. If it all comes out water then you need help.
You will need to replace the fuel lines as ethanol probably ruined them.
I'm suprised that your fuel went bad after 1 1/2 years.Unless there was very little in the tank. You should store it full so condensation won't form.
You should have a two stage system 1st vacume pump then an electronic fuel pump. The 1st stage should pump enough fuel to start the motor(maybe)
Drain the vapor chamber.Make sure all the lines are unhooked.Turn the key on and see if the electronic pump is making noise. It should be.If not then check for current to the contact posts. Good luck,J

hello, just a question for jerryjerry ,why would i expect to see a fuel/oil mixture when draining the vst?where does the oil come from? i am asking because i had oil in my vst and thought it was a problem with the lp pump or a breather problem. cheers
