Tohatsu 50MD2 Lower Mount

The lower Mounts on Tohatsu 50MD2 has started to split. I have ordered some new ones but on trying to remove the old ones there is not enough play to remove the bolts.

I have consulted the manual and it states that I have to remove the power head and top mounts before I can remove the Drive shaft case and replace the lower mounts.

I wanted to know if there is any eaiser way to do this?

A crowbar will separate it just enough to do it.

Had no luck with the crowbar almost had it out but then it stuck solid. Think ill do it by the manual at least ill get to see if the top mounts need replaced as well.
