If I want to disconnect the kill switch at the engine, where is it located and what color r the wires?

I have no spark to either of my cylinders.
Replace which first?
Trigger or Stator?
Please help.

Re: 88 Force 50HP -KILL SWITCH?

Rather than blindly spending hundreds on parts, why not spend $35 on a Clymer force repair manual, and do the ignition diagnostic tests.

Could be kill switch, cd module, bad coils, trigger, stator, or a broken wire somewhere.

The 1987c thru 1988c models used brown wires on the 2 cd-coil modules for the kill switch.

the 1988d and newer models used a white wire on the single cd module.

Re: 88 Force 50HP -KILL SWITCH?

I have one black wire on the left side of the cd and one white on the opposite side. On the lower cd, I only have one black wire connected to it.
Are those the kill switch wires? I ordered the manual and I should receive it any day. THANKS for your help.

Sounds like a wire or two are missing.

Easiest way to disable the kill circuit, is to disconnect at the keyed ignition switch.

There are 2 terminals on the back of the switch that are labeled with the letter "M".

One terminal has blue wires, the other has white wires.

Disconnecting these wires will disable the kill circuit at the key, and at the deadman switch.
