Restoring a 2.5 HP Johnson Seahorse

I'd like to restore my my Dad's Johnson Seahorse, Serial number 580927 Model number HD 25.

It is missing the gas cap. Are parts available: gas cap, pull cord, black rubber handle? Does anyone adonize aluminum?

The pull cord material is available and so are reproduction rubber tiller handles for that motor from North York Marine http://www.nymarine.ca/index.html . As for the gas cap, keep your eyes peeled for a parts motor. Basically the same cap is used on the 2?, the old 5 from 1941 - 1953, and probably any 3 horse from 1952 - 1967. See the attached images for examples.

The gas caps were red with knurled vent cap for most of the 1940s, then black after that. They have a small chain attached to a wire retainer that keeps the cap from accidently dropping into the lake.
