Guys, need a little help. I just bought a used 55hp Evinrude to put on my deckboat. I took off the old 115 that came with boat which was a 1983. My question is, will the controls from my 115hp work with my 55hp? The controls look to be exactly the same as far as the cables and control plug, except that the old controls have what looks to be a fuse or something connected to one of the battery connections? I'll try to post some pics later when I get home. I was just wondering will my 55hp work with the 115 controls. The control box, btw is a OMC.
