Mercury Fuel Problems

I Have A 115 4 Stroke Mercury Year 2005. I Have To Tap On Side Of The Motor Where The Long Tube On The Right Side Of The Motor Is. The Tube Says Fuel And Water. The Motor Runs Rough Unless You Tap It. Now It Still Runs Rough. Will Not Turn Up The Rpm. I Have A Spin On Fuel Filter That Is Clean. Just Recent Put It On.

Welcome aboard. I don't have the answer but sit tight and someone will help. If you get tired of waiting for an answer just reply to your own post and insert the word: Bump!

That a fuel cooler is real close the the fuel rail that holds injectors. I would check to see that all the injector harnesses are plugged in good and tight and if it is the cooler you are tapping the pressure regulator may be sticking and coming loose when you tap it.
