Evinrude 35 gear pops up, i change everything

i put a new clutch, clutch dog, foward and reverse gear and it ran fine for about 10 hours, end then started jumping again. I would like to know if the problem is on top of the engine.

what year motor?
If it's the 50's vintage, then you'll need to adjust the shift linkage and make sure there is no slop in any of the lnkages as well.
