My question is I have a 140 hp v4.Should this motor have the year of the motor in the serial number?
The title says the motor is a 1985.This I think is a cross flow motor but the manual says that the cross flow motors have the thermostats in the exhaust housing. If the thermostat is in the their would I still have a temp sensor wire running into the cylinder head?
I just want to make sure that I'm not mistaken in the year and make of my motor. The model number is J140TLCO.Also If anyone could tell me what the letters mean in the model # that would be great.
I ask about the serial # because their is an 86 in it is this just coincedence?
Thanks for all your help
Shawn
