So for november we have been hit with snow then rain then dry conditions.
temps for the most part have been above freezeing except for this morning it hit minus 6c and a high of 3c this afternoon.
there is green grass in the sunny areas and driveway, and a skiff of snow in the shadey areas.
I AM NOT COMPLAINING!!
but this is just weird.
has anyone been hit with normal november weather?

I tend to look at it as we actually HAD a Fall this year. Typically it just goes from hot to cold. It ws quite nice for a change.

42 and sunny in N WI today. November had the least amount of snow on record, 1.2" . The norm is around 15". Where is winter? Don't know, don't care. I hope it doesn't find us....

Down here on the WET coast, about 150km from you we've had a typical november. Rain, rain and more rain...

But check your forcast, supposed to be going south of -10 next week...

Yesterday it rained all day and rained heavy. Woke up this morning with this. And windy and cold. Looks like it may be a white Christmas yet.

The sad thing is that this is only a light snow fall. And it's not our first. The other stuff melted in the rain. At the angle of the camera, I won't even be able to see that truck across the street in about a month. It will be all snow banks. Like these two pics from last year.

We have had above normal temps in the southeast lately. The usual wear a coat in the morning and a T-shirt in the afternoon November weather. December 15 day forecast shows highs in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Lows in the 20s, 30s, 40s. Lots of rain and a chance of snow. We have had way above normal rainfall for this time of year. I am a big fan of Snow!

Well, we are coming off one of the wettest Novembers ever and now we are just starting to see temperatures heading to 0 Cel. (or 32? for you Southern guys). No snow of course, but there has been a bit of frost that last few days.
Out in this neck of the vast Canadian woods our climate is supposedly very similar to the Virginia/West Virginia climate in temps, etc....just to add some perspective, although we get the rain consistent with a rain forest in certain areas, of course.;)
Meanwhile out there on the rock in the far eastern reaches of Canada....TallCanadian...Yikes!! Get outta there!!...and why aren't you in Fort McMurray with other Newfs? (just kiddin'). The maritimes is a beautiful place but is one bitc___in' winter.:)
Three more weeks until the winter solstice then it starts to get better.
Hang in there!:)

No Fort Mac for me. I like it fine right here, except for the winters. LOL. I should become a snow bird and fly south for the winter.

Re: wHere is winter, really wHere is it.

A week ago I left Indiana and flew to the Bahamas... it was 50 something degrees at 5 a.m when we left.

Today I flew back and it was mid 30's at 4 p.m.

I guess winter moved in while I was on vacation enjoying those mid 80 degree days on the beach... :D
