is there a way to look my boat up

i just bought a boat and have conflicting info.... is there a way to find infor on my boat/motor using the hull ID and motor serial #

Welcome to iboats!

Well what is conflicting?? The hull identification number HIN will determine who manufactured the boat and the year provided it was post 1972.

Motor serial numbers need to be coupled with engine model numbers to determine when the engine was made and what exact model it is.

the current registration states it is a 1989 17ft Tracker but no year listed for the 110hp Johnson motor. however there is a printed form (www2.nwagri.com ???) that the was in the papers the owner gave me and it has 1991 15ft 6in and the motor is listed as 1991. The hull id and motor serial # is the same on both the registration and the ??? form. Thanks for replying

Well, if a 1989 17' Tracker got registered as a 15'6" 1991 model boat, someone is either an idiot, or it was stolen. The boat only has one HIN, and it can only be one model year. Does your HIN end in the numbers "89" or "91"?
