1995 johnson 150 leaking fuel from carb

i have a 1995 johnson ocean runner 150. i noticed fuel leaking in the water when i stopped to fish yesterday. when i got back to the dock i took the cover off and the thing that covers the carbs. i pumped the ball and saw fuel leaking from the left side of the top carb on the set of carbs on the right side if you where facing the carbs. any suggestions?

Pull the carb and inspect the float and needle.

Is that something i can do myself and while the boat is in the water?

I was able to remove and rebuild all six cars on my '98 Johnny 150HPV6, while it was tied to the dock. You obviously do not want to drop any parts into the drink.....
